This photo of Jim Lehrer was taken at the Republican convention in September by my old friend Don Perdue. Don was the photography director for Channel Thirteen (WNET) in New York when I was a teenage summer intern in their design department. What a nice surprise that he had taken the best recent portrait of our cover subject.
